Sunny’s aegyo gets a new name

A photo of actor Gong HyungJin grabbing Sunny by the collar was revealed on May 11th.

In the coming episode of KBS 2TV ‘Invincible Youth 2′, actor Gong HyungJin who is a huge fan of the show visited the Idol Village in Daebudo. Gong HyungJin who knows every detail of ‘Invincible Youth 2′ including the members’ personalities, location of filming and even the names of the animals, was excited to be on the program and showed his delight upon meeting the G6 members by shaking their hands.

At that moment, Sunny gave a special welcome with her aegyo to greet the visiting guest, Gong HyungJin. Upon seeing Sunny’s excessive aegyo, Gong HyungJin pretended to lose his temper and grabbed Sunny by the collar, saying, “This is the ‘aegyo that calls for collar grabbing’”, drawing laughters from the other members of the show.

In fact, Gong HyungJin once picked Sunny as the member on ‘Invincible Youth 2′ that he wants to meet the most. During the filming, Gong HyungJin has been taking good care of Sunny, showing that he is indeed her true samchon (uncle) fan.

Girls’ Generation – TTS Wins ‘Music Bank’ K-Chart

On May 11th, Girls’ Generation – TTS took home their first KBS “Music Bank” K-Chart win for their song, “Twinkle”.

Before their performance, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun had a short talk in the waiting room with SISTAR, who they were up against for the K-Chart. They all gave each other a friendly “Fighting!” cheer of support. For this performance, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun took the stage with new outfits from the “Twinkle” music video and showed their glamorous side. Fans once again took to Twitter to show their excitement, trending “Congrats TTS” fourth worldwide.

Also, for the sixth week in a row, Taeyeon’s OST song, “Missing You Like Crazy”, took the top spot on “Music Bank”‘s OST Chart.

Fellow Girls’ Generation member Yoona made a surprise visit to cheer on Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, and she even joined them on stage when they won the award. Yoona showed how much of a fan she was by singing and dancing along to “Twinkle” during the encore. What did you think of today’s performance?

‘GiRL’ Generation Promotes ‘Twinkle’s’ Perfume!

Remember seeing our TaeTiSeo’s ‘Twinkle‘ video? Remember them holding that cute little pink bottle of perfume? No? Then how about the in-MV-advert that poped up on the bottom that we all keep thinking is a YouTube advert? WELL SIR 10-Corse-Como’s are now going to release that exact bottle of perfume called ‘GiRL’, and with that, SNSD are there to promote it! Check out their first photo!

Jealous Tiffany and Taeyeon’s Biggest Insecurity!~

Recently, TaeTiSeo was guested on ‘Hong Jin Kyung’s 2 O’clock’ radio show! However the biggest news is what our favorite couple, TaeNy, revealed on the show!

Starting off with Tiffany who confessed that she was jealous to fellow member Jessica. Tiffany shared, “I was envious of Jessica when she was cast for the musical, ‘Legally Blonde’. A week before she was cast into the musical, I heard that auditions were being held, and I told my manager that I could do a good job if I got the part“. But suddenly Tiffany saw the articles saying that Jessica had already gotten the part.

Tiffany continued with, “We didn’t know, and Jessica found out a little later“. After that she laughed and said “I was jealous for about a whole minute“.

Moving on to Taeyeon, she confessed about one of her biggest insecurities and that was her big toenail. Taeyeon expressed, “I am insecure about my big toe’s toenail, I already injured it four times in the same place“. She then continued with, “Hearing this may make some people uncomfortable, but my big toenail ‘ran away’. So basically… it’s in a state where it’s just barely sitting on my toe“.

Taeyeon recalled the past incidents where she injured it and shared, “I recently injured it again. It got caught in the heel of the shoe and my toenail fell off… Once when I was young, I was riding my bicycle and got my toenail caught in the wheel“. She then expressed her sadness and said, “I recently injured my left foot’s big toenail. I can’t wear sandals or slippers in the summer because of my big toenail“.

Also another one from Taeyeon, when she was asked if she thought her vocal talent is among the best, she responded by saying “No” without hesitation, Taeyeon then explained “There are so many people out there who sing extremely well“.

In response to her statement, Tiffany jokingly replied with, “If Taeyeon isn’t a good singer, then what does that make us?” which made Taeyeon to humbly say “I think maybe I’m just amongst the upper middle class?“.

Taeyeon, you must be more careful! We worry for your toe!

Seohyun Saves Tiffany

Just thought I’d share this one cause it’s totally Seohyun!

On May 3rd, TaeTiSeo were at C&J E&M’s Open Studio for a guest appearance on Mnet “Wide Entertainment News.” While they were waiting outside the studio, the cameras captured them hanging out with fans.

A little gust of wind started to blow Tiffany’s skirt up, but Seohyun came to the rescue and quickly grabbed her skirt to keep it from blowing up, showing undergarments.

Netizens commented, “If it weren’t for Seohyun, Tiffany could have faced a humiliating situation,” “Awww, Seohyun’s taking care of her unnie,” “She’s such a caring person,” “Now that’s what you call ‘manner hands.’”

Oh Seohyun, you really are the perfect maknae aren’t you? Pshh, perfect maknae, more like perfect person, period! I’m sure all your unnie’s have been saved by you in some way or another.

Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo Wins ‘M! Countdown’

Following their first win on MBC’s “Show Champion”, Girls’ Generation – TTS took home their second win for “Twinkle” on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on May 10th.

Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun came out wearing new outfits from the music video of “Twinkle” and showed off their funky vocals and fun choreography. The girls were unavailable to accept the award because they left earlier for the KBS Open Concert in Yeosu. Following the performance, fans spread the link to the YouTube clip of the performance on Twitter, and the video title trended first worldwide. “Congrats TTS” also trended as high as fifth worldwide in celebration of Girls’ Generation – TTS’s victory.

“Twinkle” is already becoming a hit, reaching over ten million views on YouTube in under ten days and taking the top spot on the weekly Hanteo chart. Additionally, Taeyeon’s OST song, “Missing You Like Crazy”, continues to do well, ranking first on the OST chart for “M! Countdown”.

Tiffany wants Girls’ Generation to be together for many years to come

On MBC ‘Joo ByungJin Talk Concert’ aired on May 10th, Tiffany and Seohyun talked about the lifespan of a girl group.

Tiffany said, “When Girls’ Generation debuted, I honestly thought that we would last for 5 years only. However, as time passes, I really want us to be together and work with one another for a very long time as Girls’ Generation”. Tiffany continued, “At this point, we would be expected to pursue our own individual activities, but instead, we actually prefer to work together as Girls’ Generation”.

Seohyun added, “There are many people who has the perception that the lifespan of a girl group is short. However, Girls’ Generation wants to prove that such perception is wrong”.

Girls' Generation ‘The Boys’ recorded sales over 400,000 copies, the first in GaOn Chart’s history for a single album

Girls’ Generation’s 3rd album ‘The Boys’ has recorded sales exceeding 400,000 copies to date.

Released on October 19th, 2011, ‘The Boys’ topped GaOn’s Annual Album Chart last year with sales of 385,348 copies. Since then till April this year, sales of 205,194 copies were recorded, bringing the tally to 410,542 copies.

A representative of GaOn Chart said, “Since GaOn started tracking album sales in 2010, Girls’ Generation is the only artist to have broken the 400,000 copies mark for a single album (not inclusive of repackaged album)”.

Girls’ Generation’s albums across the board are seeing the same additions in sales. ‘Oh!‘ jumped from 197,934 copies to 218,522 copies in a year, ‘Run Devil Run‘ sold 168,998 total copies, and ‘Hoot‘ recorded 180,825 copies up to last year.

As for their latest unit group, Taetiseo, “Twinkle” has hit 604,870 downloads, making them the most downloaded artist on Gaon for the week of May 2nd.

Taeyeon’s gift brought tears of joy to her parents’ eyes

Taeyeon revealed that she recently bought a house for her parents as gift.

On KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together 3′ aired on May 10th, in reply to the MCs’ question, “Why did you make you parents cry?”, Taeyeon said, “Those were tears of joy”. Taeyeon collected the money she earned through Girls’ Generation’s activities and bought a house for her parents recently.

Further to Taeyeon’s reply, Park MyungSoo asked, “How many toilets are there?”. Much to everyone’s surprise, Taeyeon revealed that the house she bought has 3 toilets.

Along with Taeyeon, Jessica and Tiffany were also part of the guest lineup, with YoonA making a surprise appearance on this entertaining episode.
