Enter for a Chance at a Fan Meeting with Girls’ Generation at ‘SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America’

On November 10th, Girls’ Generation will be performing at the “SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America” in Irvine, California. Along with the concert, VIP ticket holders will get the chance to have a fan meeting with a participating artist, including Girls’ Generation.

The fan meetings will be a chance for fans to play games, win photo opportunities, earn prize giveaways, and give gifts to their favorite idols. The fan meetings are limited to 300 VIPs per artist to maintain the quality of the event and will be on a first come, first serve basis. VIP ticket holders will be able to sign up for one fan meeting with the group of their choice. Non-VIP ticket holders can enter a raffle for the chance to attend a fan meeting as well.

HOW TO SIGN UP (VIPs ONLY):

Registration will start on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7:00 PM PST and end Monday, October 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM PST. Access will be given on a first come, first serve basis with no exceptions. VIP ticketholders can sign up for the Fan Meet of their choice at http://www.absolutekpop.com/fanmeet by filling out the registration form. The first 300 registrants will receive a confirmation email by Wednesday, October 31, 2012 with further instructions.

PLEASE NOTE: All VIPs are guaranteed a spot for ONE fan meet only. Duplicates will be eliminated. Once an idol group has reached its maximum capacity of 300 sign-ups, their fan meeting will be locked with no exceptions and no exchanging of fan meetings.

FAN MEET RAFFLE

All other ticket-holders may still have a chance to attend one of the VIP Fan Meets by entering the Fan Meet Raffle Drawing. Non-VIP ticket-holders will need to register their tickets between October 25th, 7:00 PM PST and November 2nd, 7:00 PM PST by completing the form at http://www.absolutekpop.com/raffle. Raffle winners will be contacted via email on Monday, November 5th.

Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo and Taeyeon Nominated in ’2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards’

Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo has been nominated in three categories for the “2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards”. Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo, a subunit formed earlier this year with Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, has been nominated as “Best Global Female Group”, “Best Female Group”, and “Artist of the Year”.

Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s “Twinkle” mini-album was released through various music sites on April 29th, and the physical album was released on May 2nd. The group proved to be a huge success, winning several awards on music shows. Their mini-album was able to rank fourth on the US iTunes album chart and second on the US iTunes pop album chart, both setting a record for the highest ranking by a Korean artist. They also released a music video for their title track “Twinkle”, which currently has 29 million views on YouTube. Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s promotions ended on on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on June 3rd.

Taeyeon’s “Missing You Like Crazy” has also been nominated for “Best OST”. “Missing You Like Crazy” is part of the OST for the MBC drama “The King 2 Hearts” and was released on March 28th. Taeyeon delivered a powerful performance for her OST song on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on April 28th.

Girls’ Generation to Endorse G-Star RAW Clothing Line in Japan

G-Star RAW, a designer clothing company based in the Netherlands specializing in denim, has revealed that Girls’ Generation, Asia’s representative artist, will be endorsing the high quality urban clothing brand in Japan. G-Star RAW Japan released the above image through their Facebook and Twitter accounts as a preview for Girls’ Generation’s endorsement, showing the members in jeans and white tops.

The nine members, selected for their strong image of natural beauty and purity that complements their cute appearance and femininity, will act as muses for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 line.

This is the latest of Girls’ Generation’s endorsements in Japan, which have so far included e-ma throat candies, Lipton Tea, and 7-11.

Girls' Generation Sunny to Return as Brenda in ‘Catch Me If You Can’

Sunny will be returning to the stage to act in the second run of the musical “Catch Me If You Can”.

Sunny will reprise her role as Brenda, the cute love interest of the main character, Frank Abagnale Jr. Much of the cast from the first run of “Catch Me If You Can” will also be returning, including CSJH The Grace’s Dana, who will share Sunny’s role as Brenda, as well as Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SHINee’s Key, who will both be playing Frank Abagnale Jr.

Earlier this year on May 12th, Sunny completed the first run of the musical, receiving praise from fans and critics alike. Sunny was nominated for the Female Newcomer award at the 6th “The Musical Awards” for her role as Brenda.

“Catch Me If You Can” will run from December 14th through February 9th, 2013 at the Seongam Arts Center Opera House. Ticketing will open on November 1st.
