Tiffany Talks About Her First Love and First Kiss
For the first time ever, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany talked about her first kiss!
Mnet’s “The Beatles’ Code S2,” aired the second episode to its two-part Girls’ Generation special, which featured Taeyeon, Yuri, Tiffany, and Seohyun, last night.
During the episode, Tiffany shared stories about her first love before singing Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” She revealed that the song made her reminisce about what it felt like when she fell in love for the first time. As expected, the MCs took this opportunity to pry about Tiffany’s first love. She bashfully confessed, “My first love was an American that I met in high school. This is the first time I’m sharing this on TV. “ She revealed that she dated him for a couple years and that she had her first kiss with him.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment opened a Girls’ Generation themed cafe last week, drawing both domestic and international fans with its delicious treats, as well as its Girls’ Generation memorabilia. The “Girls’ Generation EXPRESS” will be temporarily opened at the “RABBIT in the MOON” cafe in Garosugil, Shinsadong, until February 17.

Seohyun Says Yoo Jae Suk is Her Ideal Type
Girls′ Generation (SNSD) member Seohyun finally opened up and chose Yoo Jae Suk as her ideal type.
The singer appeared on the February 11 broadcast of Mnet′s The Beatles Code 2 with a handful of her fellow SNSD members.
In the ′Music 101′ section, in which stars talk about songs related to their first loves, Seohyun opened up on the man who first made her heart go aflutter.
After choosing Britney Spears′ Sometimes as her song, she added, "It′s a song related to my memories of feeling fluttery for the first time, though it may not exactly be first love."
Super Junior′s Shindong, MC of the show, asked, "Didn′t you say you don′t know what first love feels like? I thought you said you love Keroro," and Seohyun added, "That was six years ago. I didn′t live without feeling any feelings [of love] at all. I have felt excited before."
Seohyun is known for rarely showing interest in men, saying such things as "I like yams more then men" or "My ideal type is Ban Ki Moon."
The MCs showed interest at this show of love from her, and continued to ask what her ideal type is.
Seohyun answered, "[My ideal type is] Yoo Jae Suk. I like every part of him in general."
She commented that she thinks the eyes are the most important part of the face, and said, "I like eyes that are bright."
Girls' generation will launch its arena tour in Japan after wrapping up promotions for I Got a Boy in Korea.

Tiffany Defends “Girls” in Girls’ Generation
Members of Girls’ Generation appeared on the most recent and the very last episode of SBS “Strong Heart” and talked about their age. Tiffany said, “I think it’s time for us to defend our dignity as girls. Our average age is 24.5 years old.”
She continued looking somewhat disappointed, “We are the ‘Girls’ Generation,’ but people have been telling us to drop the word ‘Girls.’ Also, I’ve been putting my hair in pigtails and my manager recently told me to stop doing that, too.”
Tiffany also compared Girls’ Generation to other younger female idol groups. She said, “When I MC for a music program, I look at other girl groups and the fans’ reaction in the audience. I thought we were still young, cute, and lively, but I felt like even our own fans were looking at us like we are elderly.”
Meanwhile, “Strong Heart” ended with the highest viewership ratings in its time slot.

Sunny Cannot Keep a Straight Face at Kim Dong Wan’s Moves
During one part of the program, host Kim Dong Wan imitated the pelvic moves of Girls’ Generation’s current dance. Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon demonstrated the moves, holding both hands over the head, then rotating the hips as if making a number 8. Upon Kim Dong Wan’s imitation, Sunny could not help but show on her face how shocking she found the greasy dance.
The other Girls’ Generation members saw Sunny’s expression and were helpless against a fit of laughter.
“Hyoyeon’s dance is a proper figure of eight, but Kim Dong Wan’s doesn’t look right,” Sunny said.

Sooyoung Reveals Her Father’s Story and Struggle with Retinitis Pigmentosa on ‘Strong Heart’
On February 12th, SBS’s “Strong Heart” aired its season finale and second half of its Girls’ Generation special with all nine members of Girls’ Generation. This episode featured both fun and touching stories from Girls’ Generation’s members, who discussed their interactions with junior artists, Tiffany’s overwhelming love for the color pink, Hyoyeon’s obsession with the number 23, and Jessica, Yuri, and Yoona’s kiss scenes in “Wild Romance”, “Fashion King”, and “Love Rain”.
The episode ended with the last story ever told on this season of “Strong Heart”, which revolved around Sooyoung’s father and his work to combat retinitis pigmentosa. Sooyoung revealed that after her father was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, he started to research the disease, found that the majority of the information was written in English, and began translating the information. Thus began his activities in the eradication of blindness.
Sooyoung explained that her father still suffers from the disease, which is only progressing more slowly when compared to other patients. She said, “The problem is that funds for research are lacking, so I wanted to help him. But I’m not active on my own, and there’s also the company, so there were a lot of things to consider, and I think he wasn’t able to ask for my help without hesitation. After he found out not too long ago that there is a way to treat it, he officially requested help from our company, and about four of our members (translator’s note: Taeyeon, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun) are currently active as ambassadors.”
In August of 2011, Sooyoung was involved in a car accident that left her with a minor injury and unable to perform in Girls’ Generation’s concert’s in Taiwan. She said, “There was a seminar he had to go to in Daejeon, and he asked me if i could come and say a few words, so I said that of course I would. So I was on my way there, but I got in a car accident. Through that accident, I fractured my tailbone, so I couldn’t attend our concert. The accident was a little serious. It made me think that it would have been nice if I could attend the event, and my dad wouldn’t feel so burdened. He was sorry about asking me for help already, so after that, the first thing I thought about was him worrying about this. And, just as I expected, he felt really sorry to me.”
Sooyoung also showed her appreciation to fans of Girls’ Generation who work to help those suffering from retinitis pigmentosa, saying, “International fans collected funds and sent them, and in Korea, our fanclub has their own volunteer group. Whenever there is an event, they do volunteer work, helping those who can’t see, so I would like to take this moment to say thank you all very much.”
Finally, Sooyoung gave a tearful message to her father: “When I was first learning to ride a bicycle, my dad gave me the nickname of ‘little hero’. But I’ve gotten so big now, I’m in the position where I can help him. He thinks I’ve become really big, but I’m still my dad’s youngest daughter and ‘little hero’. My ‘big hero’ is you, dad, so if a little hero and big hero cross, I think a bright world that you see with your heart will come about. I love you, dad.”

Sooyoung and Her Mother and Sister Appear as Guests on SBS’s ‘Discovery of Trends’
On February 1st, Sooyoung and her mother and sister made guest appearances on SBS’s “Discovery of Trends”.
On the show, Sooyoung helped out with a “help service” company and ran some errands for customers. Earlier, she also sat down at the “help service” desk and personally took orders like a professional.
During the filming, Sooyoung also danced to “I Got A Boy” and made all the men in the room go crazy with excitement. MC Shin Hyunjoon even took the opportunity to record a video.
Sooyoung’s family appeared later in the show when, without letting the staff know, Sooyoung’s mother and sister, Choi Soojin, sent in an order for popcorn. Not knowing it was Sooyoung’s house, MC Kim Minjong, an actor signed under SM Entertainment, went to deliver and was surprised to see Sooyoung’s beautiful sister and her mother. In the end, both left a heartwarming video message to Sooyoung by giving her words of encouragement on her activities.

Original article:
On February 4th, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, Yuri, and Seohyun appeared on Mnet’s “The Beatles Code 2″ as guests alongside Ha Choonhwa, a well-known veteran vocalist. Eight of the members of Girls’ Generation have previously appeared in episodes on December 9th and December 16th of 2011 during the first season of “Beatles Code”, a show which searches for and analyzes connections between the show’s guests.
Together, the five guests and MCs discussed a range of subjects as they looked for similarities between the four Girls’ Generation members and Ha Choonhwa. During the show, Taeyeon revealed that because there are so many members, they enjoy spending time by themselves and set up miniature speakers and blinking lights on their phones to dance and have fun, and it was discovered that Seohyun and Ha Choonhwa have the same birthday. Tiffany also explained that the members have to eat before performing and said that there is a big difference between performances where they have eaten and where they have not.

[UPDATED] Hyoyeon and Yuri to Appear on MBC’s ‘Magic Concert’
Update with video:
Hyoyeon and Yuri’s appearance on MBC’s “Magic Concert” was broadcast last night at 6:25 PM. Both members participated in magic tricks from magicians Danny Ocean and Choi Hyunwoo, which included tricks of prediction, cards, coins, and snakes. Check out the episode below.
Tonight, February 10th, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon and Yuri will be appearing as guests on MBC’s “Magic Concert” with magicians Danny Ocean, a mentalist from Germany, and Choi Hyunwoo, who has appeared with Girls’ Generation in the past in shows such as “Star King”.
This episode will feature several magic tricks, including a “psychology” trick in which Danny Ocean attempts to predict the location and orientation of a hidden coin. Both Hyoyeon and Yuri participated in the trick, but the magician remarked that he had a difficult time performing the trick with Yuri because she surprised him with her ability to lie.
During the show, Hyoyeon also received her first tarot card reading when magician Choi Hyunwoo asked Hyoyeon what she was most curious about, and she asked if she would find a boyfriend. Hyoyeon’s tarot card reading predicted that she would soon get a boyfriend who was a “mother’s friend’s son” (translator’s note: a “mother’s friend’s son” is a man who mothers compare their own children to and is skilled at everything).
Finally, in celebration of the Lunar New Year, “Magic Concert” also featured a rice cake slicing battle. Hyoyeon impressed those on the set with her rice cake slicing skills, which were even better than MC Park Jiyoon’s.
Hyoyeon and Yuri’s appearance on “Magic Concert” will air tonight at 6:25 PM KST.
