As previously reported, the ladies of Shoujo Jidai/ Girl’s Generation were invited to perform at Japan’s prestigious New Year’s Eve music festival, the ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen‘. The event took place last night/year
, where Shoujo jidai performed their Japanese debut single, GENIE.With ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen’ literally meaning ‘Red and White Song battle‘, the format of the show obviously followed the format of a ‘Red Team VS White Team’ battle. Ladies were Red (akagumi), Gents were White (shirogumi) …. and the winner of the 62nd Kōhaku Uta Gassen was… *drumroll* THE RED TEAM! This was the first win for the Red team in 7 years… i’m sure Tiffany’s “Akagumi… Put it back on!!” helped.
