MYX, the No. 1 music channel in the Philippines, will be soon holding their annual MYX Music Awards for the year 2013. The said awards show honor the biggest hitmakers in the Philippines. MYX viewers from all over the Philippines decide the winners in 18 major categories via SMS text messaging, facebook votes, website votes and twitter votes.
The 18 categories are:
- Favorite Music Video
- Favorite Song
- Favorite Artist
- Favorite Male Artist
- Favorite Female Artist
- Favorite Group
- Favorite Mellow Video
- Favorite Rock Video
- Favorite Urban Video
- Favorite New Artist
- Favorite Collaboration
- Favorite Media Soundtrack
- Favorite Media Soundtrack
- Favorite Guest Appearance in a Music Video
- Favorite Myx Celebrity VJ
- Favorite Myx Live Performance
- Favorite International Music Video
- Favorite K-Pop Video
For the Favorite K-pop video, Girls' Generation-TTS' Twinkle was nominated after being on the top of the MYX charts for 2012. In addition, Twinkle also ranked top 16 for the M.I.T. 20 Year-End Countdown. Other nominees for "Favorite K-pop Video" include Psy's Gangnam Style, 2NE1's I Love You, Bigbang's Monster and their labelmate, Super Junior's Sexy, Free & Single.
For everyone's information, Girls' Generation music videos has been nominated for this category for three years now--- Run Devil Run (2011), The Boys (2012) and now, Twinkle of TaeTiSeo.
