Girls’ Generation Performed ‘The Boys’ on a Famous Talk Show ABC 'LIVE! with Kelly'!

Following the performance on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman,’ Girls’ Generation also appeared on a popular morning show ‘LIVE! with Kelly.'

Girls’ Generation presented a fantastic performance of ‘The Boys’ on ABC 'LIVE! with Kelly,’ which was aired on February 1st from 9:00 a.m., and received loud cheers from the audience.

The host, Kelly, introduced Girls’ Generation saying, “We have hot superstars from South Korea who are taking the U.S. by storm. Their new CD is in stores now, here is Girls' Generation with 'The Boys.” After the performance of ‘The Boys,’ she said, “That was amazing, so many fans! I'd like to announce that these girls are from South Korea. They are making their morning show debut right here in our studio. Audience, so welcome,” and had a brief interview with Girls’ Generation.

Especially, after Kelly watched Girls’ Generation’s passionate stage and the audience’s reaction, she praised the girls by saying, "I've never seen so much audience participation in my life! Congratulations! You are such a gorgeous group of women" and asked Girls' Generation what the audition process was like.

“We’ve all been practicing since we were youngest age 10, maybe 15. So we’ve been all together for pretty long,” Tiffany answered fluently in English then the hosts praised Tiffany’s English who replied “I was born in America. I studied so hard.”

Howie Mandel, who was a one-day host for the show, drew out some laughs by randomly saying that he knows the Korean word for potato.

Kelly asked Girls’ Generation, “Did you start out as dancers mostly or singers first? and Jessica answered, “We were trained for everything such as dancing, singing….” After that, Girls’ Generation taught the hosts how to do main choreography of ‘The Boys.’

Kelly then continued to introduce Girls’ Generation’s special album released in America on January 17, and wrapped up the interview dancing a move from the choreography of ‘The Boys.’

The vice-president, Neil Jacobson, of Girls’ Generation’s American label Interscope A&R said “Girls’ Generation’s performance on TV talk shows was a great success for Girls’ Generation, S.M.Entertainement and Interscope. We made great progress yesterday and today for Girls’ Generation’s advancement into the American market and it was perfect. We’re looking forward to having more brilliant opportunities like this for success.”

Moreover, 'LIVE! with Kelly' is a morning talk show which airs from Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. on ABC and it is the number one rated weekly TV show.

In addition, a pop star, Jennifer Lopez, appeared as talk guest on that day, so it showed the program’s high awareness and popularity.

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation appeared on CBS 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and ABC 'LIVE! with Kelly' and also had an interview with NBC’s entertainment news program ‘Extra TV’. The group thus proved its global popularity and influence by appearing on America’s main channels CBS, ABC and NBC.
