The MYX Music Awards honor the biggest hitmakers in the Philippines. They debuted on MYX at Onstage Greenbelt on June 6, 2006. MYX viewers from all over the Philippines decide the winners in 17 major categories via SMS text messaging, facebook votes, website votes and twitter votes.

- Favorite Urban Video
- Favorite Mellow Video
- Favorite Remake
- Favorite Male Artist
- Favorite Female Artist
- Favorite Group

- Favorite Media Soundtrack
- Favorite New Artist
- Favorite Collaboration
- Favorite Myx Live Performance
- Favorite Myx Bandarito Performance
- Favorite Guest Appearance in a Music Video
- Favorite International Music Video
- Favorite K-Pop Video
- Myx Magna Award
Girls' Generation becomes a nominee for 2 consecutive years for Favorite K-Pop Video with their videos Run Devil Run (2011 Nominee) and The Boys (2012 Nominee). Although Girl's Generation didn't win last 2011, the votes between 2NE1 and Girl's Generation were very close.
This year, Filipino SONES hope the award will be given to Girls' Generation for they deserve the award more than any other group.
2012 category winners will be announced on March 13, 2012 via television broadcast.
The nominees for Myx Music Awards 2012 were announced last March 1, 2012 through MYX news and updates.
The Filipino SONES show their 100% love for Girls' Generation by voting through online and SMS messages. Right now, it's Girls' Generation!
Right now, everyone is patiently waiting for the results to be revealed.
