On June 6th, Hyoyeon flew to Hong Kong to attend and celebrate the store opening for Topshop’s newest branch. Hyoyeon was recently chosen as an Asian ambassador for Topshop Hong Kong. Along with the announcement, Hyoyeon also took part in an interview with “EastTouch” magazine to talk about her new endorsement.

Taiwan’s SuperDome has announced that Girls’ Generation will be taking their world tour, “2013 Girls’ Generation’s World Tour – Girls & Peace”, to Taipei, Taiwan. Girls’ Generation will perform on two nights in Taipei: on Saturday, July 20th at 7:00 PM local time, and on Sunday, July 21st at 3:00 PM local time. The concert will take place at the Taipei Arena.
Tickets for the concert will come at price levels of 800 NTD (New Taiwan Dollars), 2,800 NTD, 3,200 NTD, 4,800 NTD, and 5,400 NTD, and will be sold through 7-ELEVEN’s ibon system. Ticket sales will begin on June 15th at 1:00 PM.

Girls’ Generation’s world tour will begin this Saturday in Seoul, South Korea.

On June 6th, Hyoyeon will be attending a store opening in Hong Kong as part of her new position as the Asian ambassador for Topshop. She was also recently interviewed by “EastTouch” magazine, discussing her new endorsement deal, fashion preferences, and general impressions of Hong Kong.
Q1: What are your thoughts on being the Topshop ambassador this year? A: South Korea doesn’t have Topshop, and I’m a supporter of Topshop. Recently, I can only buy things from Topshop when we go to Japan for our concerts and have some free time to ourselves, which is why I am really happy to have become an ambassador of Topshop. Moreover, after seeing the new collection, I want all the items.
Q2: What’s your favorite style of Topshop clothing? A: I like anything that is pretty.
Q3: Topshop often does ‘crossovers’ (translator’s note: referring to collaborations) with other brands. Which brand would you most like to do a crossover with? A: Our Girls’ Generation has nine members, each with their own distinctive fashion style. If Topshop could do one different style for each of us as a collaboration plan, I would look forward to that.
Q4: If you were to design clothes with Topshop, how would you do it? A: I like clothes that are “bling bling”, so the very glamorous “party look” will definitely be my first choice of design.
Q5: What’s your favorite style of clothing? A: Even though I like the glamorous stage look, I like clothes which have detail and are feminine for my outfits on normal days. Even if they are tight-fitting, I love wearing them as long as they look comfortable.
Q6: What individual activities have you been busy with recently? A: Before this collaboration with Topshop, we just finished our concerts in Japan. So after coming to Hong Kong, I have to go back to South Korea to prepare for our Asia Tour, and of course we’ll be stopping over in Hong Kong for our concert.
Q7: What feelings does Hong Kong give you? A: Actually I’ve been to Hong Kong a lot of times. This is already my third time within this year. Hong Kong is really a great place for shopping. I only have to go to one shopping mall and I can already buy all the brands I want. And all your building designs are really unique!
Q8: Have you eaten any Hong Kong delicacies that are hard to forget? A: Actually this place really has too many good foods, it’s just a pity that I don’t have enough time to try them all. However, I really enjoy the dimsum and the roasted meats.
Topshop also released a behind-the-scenes video, shown below, from its photoshoot with Hyoyeon and other models. In her short interview clip, Hyoyeon talks about what she likes about Topshop’s fashion and its ability to appeal to any age group.
To mark the start of filming for her upcoming movie, “No Breathing”, Yuri posted a message on Girls’ Generation’s official website.

Girls’ Generation has just released the dance version of the “LOVE&GIRLS” music video. Like the version of the music video aired on SSTV, the dance version features the members of Girls’ Generation in bright, funky outfits, this time showing off the entire choreography of the “shampoo dance”. The extras seen in the first version, made up of entirely of SONEs, are seen again in the dance version, cheering and dancing in the background and foreground.
“LOVE&GIRLS”, Girls’ Generation’s seventh Japanese single, will be released in Japan on June 19th. The single is currently available for pre-order, and purchase links can be found here.
On May 31st, KBS aired the “I Love You Republic of Korea 2013 Dream Concert”, which took place earlier this month on May 11th at Seoul World Cup Stadium. “Dream Concert” is an annual event which features many performers, and this year’s lineup included Girls’ Generation among other artists, such as B2ST, SHINee, INFINITE, 2AM, U-KISS, ZE:A, KARA, SISTAR, 4minute, T-ara, SECRET, EXO, B1A4, Rainbow, Huh Gak, SPEED, BTOB, EvoL, and VIXX. Girls’ Generation performed “The Boys” and “I Got A Boy”, and then joined the other artists on stage for the finale with “Let’s Go On A Vacation”.

On June 3rd, Jessica received the “Popular Star” award at “The 7th Musical Awards”.
Jessica and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun arrived together for the award ceremony’s red carpet event, where Jessica posed for photos and stunned in an elegant dress.
During the awards ceremony, Jessica won the “Popular Star” award for playing Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde”, a role she took on earlier this year for the second time after having starred in the musical’s first run in 2009 and 2010. She received the award with Kyuhyun, who starred in “Catch Me If You Can” with Sunny.
Jessica later posted a message on Girls’ Generation’s official website to give her thanks to fans who voted for her. She received over 8,000 votes.
