Alcon Renews Endorsement Contract with Yoona

Alcon, a contact lens brand, has renewed its endorsement contract with Yoona for another year. Yoona first became a model for CIBA VISION, a subsidiary of Alcon, in July of 2012 and released several CFs and images for the “DAILIES” and “FreshLook” brands. She has since become an endorser for Alcon Taiwan.

Yoona’s new advertisement shoot for Alcon finished last month, and CFs will begin to air in January of 2014. Yoona will also continue to be active in Taiwan for Alcon.

Hyoyeon to Travel to Hong Kong for Topshop and Interviewed by ‘EastTouch’ Magazine


On June 6th, Hyoyeon will be attending a store opening in Hong Kong as part of her new position as the Asian ambassador for Topshop. She was also recently interviewed by “EastTouch” magazine, discussing her new endorsement deal, fashion preferences, and general impressions of Hong Kong.

Q1: What are your thoughts on being the Topshop ambassador this year?
A: South Korea doesn’t have Topshop, and I’m a supporter of Topshop. Recently, I can only buy things from Topshop when we go to Japan for our concerts and have some free time to ourselves, which is why I am really happy to have become an ambassador of Topshop. Moreover, after seeing the new collection, I want all the items.

Q2: What’s your favorite style of Topshop clothing?
A: I like anything that is pretty.

Q3: Topshop often does ‘crossovers’ (translator’s note: referring to collaborations) with other brands. Which brand would you most like to do a crossover with?
A: Our Girls’ Generation has nine members, each with their own distinctive fashion style. If Topshop could do one different style for each of us as a collaboration plan, I would look forward to that.

Q4: If you were to design clothes with Topshop, how would you do it?
A: I like clothes that are “bling bling”, so the very glamorous “party look” will definitely be my first choice of design.

Q5: What’s your favorite style of clothing?
A: Even though I like the glamorous stage look, I like clothes which have detail and are feminine for my outfits on normal days. Even if they are tight-fitting, I love wearing them as long as they look comfortable.

Q6: What individual activities have you been busy with recently?
A: Before this collaboration with Topshop, we just finished our concerts in Japan. So after coming to Hong Kong, I have to go back to South Korea to prepare for our Asia Tour, and of course we’ll be stopping over in Hong Kong for our concert.

Q7: What feelings does Hong Kong give you?
A: Actually I’ve been to Hong Kong a lot of times. This is already my third time within this year. Hong Kong is really a great place for shopping. I only have to go to one shopping mall and I can already buy all the brands I want. And all your building designs are really unique!

Q8: Have you eaten any Hong Kong delicacies that are hard to forget?
A: Actually this place really has too many good foods, it’s just a pity that I don’t have enough time to try them all. However, I really enjoy the dimsum and the roasted meats.

Update: Girls’ Generation Attends ‘True Beyond’ Event in Thailand and Releases New CF


Update:

After the first half of the “True Beyond” opening concluded, the members of Girls’ Generation later returned for the second half, this time accompanied by Sooyoung. During the second half, the MC and group discussed the Girls’ Generation live wallpapers and other functions featured on the “True Beyond” phones. As a treat for the audience, Girls’ Generation sang part of “I Got A Boy”, and Hyoyeon and the MC of the event also danced to a short part of “Gee”, with the fans attending singing along.

At the event’s finale, the members of Girls’ Generation were given phone cases to decorate using a variety of decals. They showed the cases to the cameras and then gave their last greetings to their fans.

On May 21st, Girls’ Generation, the new TrueMove H brand ambassador, attended a grand opening event for “True Beyond”, the latest mobile phone and tablet from TrueMove H. The opening was held at Parc Paragon in Siam Paragon, Bangkok.

A new CF featuring Girls’ Generation for “True Beyond” was also played during the grand opening. Bright and cheerful, the CF shows the members in several different scenes tapping on “True Beyond” phones to show people their different functions.

SK Telecom LTE Releases New CFs Featuring Yoona and Seohyun


The official YouTube channel for SK Telecom LTE recently unveiled four new videos featuring Yoona, Seohyun, and various other SM Entertainment artists, including Super Junior’s Siwon and Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Minho, and f(x)’s Sulli.

The first video shows snippets of the idols in various individual CFs. In Yoona’s clip, she and Sulli are in a cafe, and Yoona uses her phone to call her junior even though they are sitting right next to each other. The third clip below features Seohyun and Siwon having a fast-paced, fun exchange.

The last video reveals that the final round of the tournament between all the endorsers for SK Telecom LTE is pitting Seohyun against Kyuhyun. Fans can vote for Seohyun by posting her Korean name, “서현”, on the brand’s official Facebook page.

SK Telecom LTE Unveils New Advertisements Featuring Yoona and Seohyun



After recently revealing that Yoona and Seohyun were chosen to endorse SK Telecom LTE, the company has been constantly revealing new promotions for their ad campaign. Firstly, SK Telecom’s official Facebook page revealed a cute photo of Seohyun to thank people for all the support they’ve given to the brand.

Along with a variety of pictures, SK Telecom has constantly uploaded a number of new videos with interviews and CFs on their official YouTube channel. The first video shows Seohyun’s interview as she introduces herself as one of the new endorsers for SK Telecom LTE. The other short clips are fun CFs featuring Yoona, Seohyun, and Super Junior’s Siwon showing off SK Telecom LTE data. More features can also be found on the official website for SK Telecom LTE.

Yoona and Seohyun Endorse SK Telecom LTE in New Ad Campaign


SK Telecom has begun a new ad campaign, “LTE Infinite Power Noot” (Translator’s note: A play on LTE being rearranged vertically to produce a Korean word, 눝, pronounced as “Noot”), for its LTE data service, and Yoona and Seohyun are two of the stars who will be featured. Other SM artists, including Kyuhyun and Siwon of Super Junior, SHINee’s Minho, and f(x)’s Sulli, are also part of the ad campaign.

Over a few days, SK Telecom has revealed each member individually along with sets of pictures on the official SKT Facebook page. Additionally, multiple CFs and interviews are being uploaded on their YouTube channel. SK Telecom has also created a website dedicated to the “LTE Infinite Power Noot” campaign which showcases the various CFs as well different pages for each of the members of the “Noot Fam”.

The CFs range from individual features to fun interactions between the SM artists as they show off SK Telecom’s LTE data.

YoonA and Sulli Pair Up For 'SK Telecom LTE' CF


The two girls filmed a quiet but adorable CF for the new LTE features for the mobile company. In one CF, YoonA calls Sulli even though they’re sitting at the same table. Confused, Sulli asks, “Unnie, why are you calling me when we’re in the same room?“, and YoonA answers, “Because it’s free!“.

In the 2nd CF, YoonA bosses Sulli around, asking for her mirror, more water, and then goes onto asking to share her data, which is one of their new possible features. Sulli seems annoyed at the request, but must have acquiesced, as later on YoonA says, “Give me a little more“.

Girls’ Generation Signs Joint Enterprise Contract with Hair Couture


Fashion hair specialist brand, Hair Couture, has signed a joint enterprise contract with Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment. They are planning on “attacking” the world fashion hair market and will begin production and distribution of fashion hair in June.

Hair Couture’s president, Kim Minseok, stated, “From here on out, we are planning on showing various hair products using the styles of Girls’ Generation’s nine members. We think we can receive a good response from the world market, as Girls’ Generation has become one of the leading icons in Hallyu for their music and fashion.”

They have not only simply signed the girls on for advertising, but as part of their joint enterprise contract, Girls’ Generation members will also take part in the planning and development for products.

Hair Couture is a fashion hair specialist company that produces and distributes fashion wigs to 20 different countries, including the United States as their foothold, in North and South America and in Europe. South Korea’s hair market is growing larger every year and is said to be a 600 billion won market. Through this Korean company launch, they will be spreading out to China, Taiwan, Thailand, and other Asian markets.

Girls’ Generation to Participate in 10 Corso Como’s ‘Seoul Melody’


SM Entertainment and 10 Corso Como are collaborating to celebrate the fifth anniversary of 10 Corso Como Seoul. The project, “Seoul Melody”, will feature SM Entertainment artists Girls’ Generation, TVXQ!, Super Junior, SHINee, and f(x). In addition to a remix compilation album containing five tracks from these artists, 10 Corso Como will also launch a new line of products, which will feature a collaboration with Girls’ Generation for the Carven collar.


Other products include TVXQ!’s Be@rbrick figurine, Super Junior’s Super sunglasses, SHINee’s Thom Browne cardigan, and f(x)’s Audio-Technica headset. All of the “Seoul Melody” products and compilation album will be available in 10 Corso Como’s AvenueL and Flagship stores, as well as on the 10 Corso Como website.

To accompany the release of the album and products, there will be a “Seoul Melody” launch party on March 28th at 10 Corso Como’s AvenueL Store in Myeong-dong, Seoul, and Girls’ Generation will be in attendance. To further promote the project, Taeyeon, Tiffany, Yuri, and Seohyun will be a part of the “Seoul Melody” piece in the April issue of “W Korea”. Meanwhile, Jessica will appear in the same edition as a separate feature.

Girls' Generation Renews The Endorsement Contract with Lotte Department Store


After having modeled for Lotte Department Store since March of last year, Girls’ Generation has renewed its endorsement contract with the popular retail company for another year.

Girls’ Generation was the first idol group ever asked to endorse Lotte Department Store and was hired in order to attract customers in their teens and twenties with the group’s “bouncy” image, trend-leading fashion sense, and wide range of fans. In a survey conducted by Lotte Department Store in November, over 50% of participants answered that the store’s image “feels more bright and cheerful than before”. 70% of those surveyed also knew that Girls’ Generation modeled for Lotte Department Store.

A source from Lotte Department Store stated, “Girls’ Generation helped a lot in creating a young image for the department store. We considered other models too, but ultimately decided on renewing our contract with Girls’ Generation.”

Sooyoung and Seohyun Become New Muses for Tommy Hilfiger Denim


Continuing Girls’ Generation members’ roles as fashion models, Sooyoung and Seohyun have been selected as the new muses in 2013 for Tommy Hilfiger Denim.

Sooyoung and Seohyun took part in a photoshoot with a “Sweet Travel Mate” concept, using natural looking makeup, hair with thick waves, and depicting a concept of twins. They put in their own interpretation of each outfit to create a new style and showed poses and facial expressions that surpassed those of a fashion model.

The “Sweet Travel Mate” photoshoot can be found in the March edition of “CeCi” magazine as well as the Tommy Hilfiger Denim website.

Sooyoung Chosen as First Muse for DOUBLE-M


Fashion accessory brand DOUBLE-M has chosen Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung as their 2013 Spring/Summer (S/S) season muse. On choosing Sooyoung as their first muse, a DOUBLE-M spokesperson stated, “Our connection came about after the DOUBLE-M item Sooyoung had at Wonder Girls’ Sunye’s wedding sold out. DOUBLE-M’s brand image corresponds well with the image Sooyoung has, who has joined the line of next generation of fashionistas.”

In the “New DOUBLE-M Look” advertisement for the new 2013 S/S season, Sooyoung shows off a cheerful appearance modeling DOUBLE-M products. The “Louis line”, recently shown off by Sooyoung at the airport, will be available at DOUBLE-M stores across Korea, beginning February 8th. Advertisements and behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot will be available through DOUBLE-M’s homepage and official Facebook page.

GiRL de Provence Perfume CFs Featuring Girls’ Generation Revealed


Girls’ Generation released four 30-second clips promoting the perfume line inspired by them, GiRL de Provence.

The members show their innumerable charms in three individual CFs featuring Jessica, Yuri, and Yoona, along with one featuring all of the members of Girls’ Generation. The group CF shows off Girls’ Generation’s beauty as they are all wearing white dresses, while a more colorful approach is taken in the individual videos.

Girls’ Generation to Endorse G-Star RAW Clothing Line in Japan





G-Star RAW, a designer clothing company based in the Netherlands specializing in denim, has revealed that Girls’ Generation, Asia’s representative artist, will be endorsing the high quality urban clothing brand in Japan. G-Star RAW Japan released the above image through their Facebook and Twitter accounts as a preview for Girls’ Generation’s endorsement, showing the members in jeans and white tops.

The nine members, selected for their strong image of natural beauty and purity that complements their cute appearance and femininity, will act as muses for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 line.

This is the latest of Girls’ Generation’s endorsements in Japan, which have so far included e-ma throat candies, Lipton Tea, and 7-11.

Eider Unveils New CFs and Behind-The-Scenes Footage Featuring Yoona

Eider recently released two new CFs featuring Yoona and Lee Minho, both official endorsers for the brand. In the first CF, the two Eider models are seen in dramatic outdoor scenes while sporting Eider clothing to brave the environment. The versatility and durability of Eider apparel is shown as Yoona and Lee Minho endure everything that is thrown at them. Meanwhile, the second video is meant to show off various Eider apparel in a studio setting. Eider presents as a stylish, yet practical choice for any outdoor apparel needs.

Along with two CFs, Eider released the corresponding behind-the-scenes footage for each advertisement. As before, the first clip shows the two Eider models traveling to various locations to shoot outdoor scenes, going through the woods and up snowy mountains. In the second video, the shoot switches to an indoor studio as the two model various Eider apparel.
