Girls’ Generation’s Sunny Proves She Has the Brains

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny displayed her intellectual prowess during a recent recording of KBS “Invincible Youth,” earning the nickname, “Idol’s best brain.”

During the episode, the G8 members were given a basic academic ability test. The exam included questions ranging from 1st grade to 6th grade levels in order to test their competence at the elementary level.

However, the members seemed taken aback by the surprisingly difficult questions, as it included some bizarre questions and they haven’t solved any of the math questions for a long time. But Sunny seemed to get the answers quickly and relatively easy compared to other members, surprising the entire staff with her high intellectual ability. In particular, some of the questions required out-of-the-box thinking, making many members leave them in blank. Sunny, on the other hand, solved all of the questions with ease, winning the competition with overwhelming results.

The episode with Sunny and the rest of the G8 taking the basic academic ability test will air on March 3.

‘SNSD and the Dangerous Boys’ To Air Unseen Footage

‘SNSD and the Dangerous Boys‘ is set to broadcast previously unseen footage for their loyal viewers.

On March 4th and 11th, JTBC will be airing unseen footage as well as viewers’ favorite scenes as a part of two ‘Best of…’ episodes.

The videos will feature previously edited-out scenes from the boys’ camping trip with their mothers, which include funny and touching moments that are sure to please the viewers.

In related news, the boys successfully competed in the ‘Street Jam Dance Competition’, and said farewell to the Girls’ Generation members in the last episode.

Famous fashion stylist, Jung YoonKi made a surprise revelation of Yuri’s costume in ‘Fashion King’.

On MBC TV’s ‘Feel Good Day’ aired on March 2nd, Jung YoonKi explained about the fashion styles for the spring season this year. While explaining, he also revealed Yuri’s costume in SBS new drama ‘Fashion King’. Jung YoonKi said, “This is the costume worn by Yuri in a drama. I think it really suits Yuri who is lively and pretty”. Yuri who is currently shooting for SBS TV’s ‘Fashion King’ is expected to appear in the drama, wearing the costume pointed out by Jung YoonKi.

He added, “In terms of color, orange seems to be the trend this year. A mix of orange and primary colored costumes with black navy colored costumes is my recommendation”.

f(x)’s Krystal Talks About The Loving Relationship With Her Sister Jessica

In an recent interview with MyDaily, f(x)’s Krystal, who has been acting in MBC’s sitcom ‘High Kick 3′, revealed the loving relationship with her older sister Jessica from Girls’ Generation.

The interviewer asked, “Who do you usually play with? I guess with your older sister (Jessica)?” To that question, Krystal answered, “My sister is really busy so I usually play alone.”

However, Krystal revealed a cute situation some time ago when Jessica was practicing her script for her drama ‘Wild Romance’. One of Jessica’s lines was “Can you get me some water?”

Not knowing that her elder sister was practicing her lines, Krystal went and got Jessica a glass of water but the latter was surprised when she saw Krystal and she asked, “What are you doing?” Krystal replied, “You told me to get you some water,” causing her sister to laugh and said, “I was practicing my lines!”

The interviewer also asked Krystal about the photo of them that was taken during the KBS Song Festival in December where Jessica was seen kissing Krystal on the cheek on the final stage. The interviewer commented that Krystal did not look like she enjoyed being kissed on the cheek by her sister.

To that, Krystal replied, “When I saw the article, they wrote how I was unhappy about it but in fact, I was taken by surprise because, I’m usually the one who kiss my sister a lot, especially when she’s sleeping.”

“I don’t hate it (the kiss) at all. It’s just that in front of so many people, my sister kissed me and I felt a little embarrassed. I wasn’t even aware that my expression was being shot.”

Sunny Takes Her Place as the ‘Brain Idol’ on ‘Invincible Youth 2′

During the latest recording of “Invincible Youth 2″, the idols of G8 took a basic education exam which tested their abilities to solve problems from the first grade level to the sixth grade level. Though the idols were taken aback by the difficulty of some of the questions, Sunny surprised everyone by easily answering all of the questions on the test, including the most difficult fraction calculations. The other members were unable to answer several questions, giving Sunny the highest score and her place as the “Brain Idol”.

Sunny has already won several titles on “Invincible Youth 2″ and has become known as “National Soonkyu” and the “Invincible President“.

This episode of “Invincible Youth 2″ will be aired this Saturday, March 3rd.

Sunny Talks About Her First Time Being a Solo MC

With K-pop fans all over the world watching, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny showed her emceeing skills in her first attempt as a solo MC for the music concert program “Music Island”, which is broadcast on SBS MTV.

Prior to the broadcast date on February 29th, Sunny stated, “I got on the stage with a nervous and burdensome heart as this is my first time emceeing a program alone, but I was able to complete it with a relaxed feeling thanks to fans cheering me on.”

Even though this was Sunny’s first attempt emceeing a show by herself, it was said that she carried the show in a calm, yet lively manner, making viewers anticipate future episodes.

On February 27th, AGB Nielsen Media revealed that the show recorded 0.952% in ratings, which was a dramatic increase of 0.225% from the previous rating of 0.697%.

This episode was the last recorded episode for the Girls’ Generation members. It featured the boys’ performance in the “Street Jam Dance Competition“. As they watched and cheered on the boys, members Sooyoung and SeoHyun were moved to tears seeing the boys achieve their dreams.

SNSD’s Yuri recently said that acting is harder than singing for her.

Yuri speaks on the challenges as an actress.

Photos of Yuri reading the script of ‘Fashion King’ with a look of concentration, as though she has fallen in love with it, were revealed recently.

In the photos taken at the set of the location shooting in New York, Yuri who took up the acting challenge for the first time was seen holding the script with a serious expression on her face. She seemed to be fully immersed in it as she was studying and reading through the script.

Girls’ Generation Considered Short

Following the popular rankings of girl groups by popularity and talent, a new hierarchy chart surfaced, garnering netizens’ attention once more. This time, the hierarchy was based off of the average heights of girl groups. The categories are as follows: red equals giant; orange, tall; yellow, average; green, short; and blue, really short.

 “Model idols” Nine Muses took home the number one spot with an average height of 171.9 cm.  After School, the first of the ‘tall’ girl groups in the K-Pop industry, took fourth place with an average height of 168.5cm.

Girls’ Generation and the Wonder Girls were listed in the short category with an average height of 163.5cm and 163.6cm respectively.  KARA, 2NE1, Brown Eyed Girls, and Secret were categorized as “really short.” Brown Eyed Girls had the shortest average height of the girl groups listed with 160.0cm.

A photo of the script reading for KBS‘s upcoming drama ‘Love Rain’ was recently revealed.

The drama, which will feature Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA and Jang Geun Suk as leads, will be airing on KBS as ‘Dream High 2‘ comes to a close.

The photo of the script reading was taken on February 23rd, as the leads met to practice for the opening shoot, which will take place in Japan. In it, netizens were able to see YoonA, Jang Geun Suk, and producer Jung Jin Young hard at work as they prepare for the filming.

The drama will feature both actors in dual roles. Jang Geun Suk plays a handsome ’70s art student named ‘Seo In Ha’, and his son in the year 2012, a free-spirited photographer named ‘Seo Jun’. YoonA, on the other hand, will be playing the innocent ’70s campus goddess ‘Kim Yoon Hee’, as well as her daughter in 2012, ‘Hana’.

The producer was quoted as saying, “Last September, we wrapped up the filming for the 70′s storyline and we will now be shooting the 2012 love story. We felt that the script reading for the 2012 shoot was very different from the feel of the 70′s filming, and so we think that this will be a highly interesting drama. Please look forward to it.
