Taeyeon, Jessica, Sooyoung, and Yoona Rank on Independent Critics List of 100 Most Beautiful Faces

TC Candler has released the “Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2013″, which lists Taeyeon, Jessica, Sooyoung, and Yoona. Jessica was the first member of Girls’ Generation to appear on the annual ranking in 2011, placing 45th, and moved up to 5th in 2012, when Taeyeon and Yoona made their first appearances at 42nd and 50th, respectively. This year, Taeyeon, Jessica, and Yoona again are ranked on the top 100 at 9th, 20th, and 71st, respectively, while Sooyoung makes her first appearance on the list at 66th.

The “Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2013″ comprises women from 34 countries who are chosen based on grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, and hope, beyond simply aesthetic perfection. The ranking has been published annually since 1990 and recently has received close to 40 million unique visitors from around the world.

SM Entertainment Releases Statement on Jessica’s Condition

After an accident involving Jessica at the Hong Kong International Airport on November 10th, SM Entertainment released a statement explaining the situation and reassuring fans that Jessica was not seriously hurt. According to SM Entertainment, a security guard mistook Jessica for a fan and pushed her against a rail. Jessica hit her head and was unable to stand up for a minute, but went to the hospital after returning to South Korea, where it was found that she had only a bruise. Jessica is currently resting at home.

SOUP Releases New Photo and Behind-the-Scenes Photoshoot Video with Jessica

On August 30th, SOUP released a new photo of Jessica for her advertisement campaign with the fashion brand. Jessica was chosen as the new muse for SOUP earlier this month.

SOUP also released a video from behind the scenes at Jessica’s photoshoot. In the video, Jessica introduces herself and is seen modeling items from SOUP’s Fall/Winter line. She explains that the concept of the photoshoot shows feminine and romantic clothing by using paparazzi cuts, and also mentions that the charming point of the photoshoot is romanticism.

Jessica Chosen as New Muse for Fashion Brand SOUP

The best popular icon, Girls’ Generation’s Jessica, was chosen as the new muse for Dongkwang International’s romantic, young, casual brand, SOUP.

Regarding the background of the model selection, a source from Dongkwang International’s marketing team stated, “Jessica, who has been active in many quarters as an all-around entertainer, on stage as well as on television, seemed to match the bright and lovely charms of a young girl.”

Dongkwang is expecting an explosive amount of popularity with this casting being a turning point, approaching SOUP’s target of women in their early 20s at a wide range. They also revealed that they are planning on showing Jessica’s collaboration line soon.

Meanwhile, on the set of the first shoot with Jessica which took place late last month, Jessica discussed the concept and style herself with the staff, completing her own SOUP style. The SOUP filming set and advertisement cut teaser are planned to be revealed through their homepage, Facebook, blog, and SNS.

Jessica Releases ‘The One Like You’ for ‘Dating Agency; Cyrano’ OST

Jessica will be releasing a new OST track, entitled “The One Like You”, for tvN’s “Dating Agency; Cyrano”. “The One Like You” is a ballad song that consists of a sad piano melody mixed with a magnificent orchestra. Jessica’s emotional voice will evoke a mysterious feeling and is enough to double the drama’s atmosphere and mood. Jessica is also taking part in the OST in order to show her support for Sooyoung, who has received compliments for her natural acting as the lead role of Gong Minyoung in “Dating Agency; Cyrano”. Jessica’s participation in the drama’s OST once again shows the close friendship between Girls’ Generation members.

Fans, having previously heard the song in earlier episodes of “Dating Agency; Cyrano”, are excitedly anticipating the official release of Jessica’s “The One Like You”. The song will be available for download on various online music sites today, July 2nd, at 12:00 PM KST. “Dating Agency; Cyrano” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 11:00 PM KST.

Taeyeon, Jessica, and Seohyun have each been nominated for “Most Popular 2013 Drama OST” at the “Seoul International Drama Awards 2013″. Taeyeon’s “And One” and “Closer“, Jessica and f(x)’s Krystal’s “Butterfly“, and Seohyun’s “I’ll Wait For You” were each nominated in the category. Online voting is only available for those with an account with the website.

Marking the eighth time the show will take place, the “Seoul International Drama Awards 2013″ will be held on September 5th at the National Theater of Korea. Jessica Wins ‘Popular Star’ Award at ‘The 7th Musical Awards’

On June 3rd, Jessica received the “Popular Star” award at “The 7th Musical Awards”.

Jessica and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun arrived together for the award ceremony’s red carpet event, where Jessica posed for photos and stunned in an elegant dress.

During the awards ceremony, Jessica won the “Popular Star” award for playing Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde”, a role she took on earlier this year for the second time after having starred in the musical’s first run in 2009 and 2010. She received the award with Kyuhyun, who starred in “Catch Me If You Can” with Sunny.

Jessica later posted a message on Girls’ Generation’s official website to give her thanks to fans who voted for her. She received over 8,000 votes.

Jessica Attends I.T Hysan ONE’s Demin Popup Store Cocktail Reception in Hong Kong

On May 12th, Jessica traveled to Hong Kong for the Demin Popup Store Cocktail Reception at I.T Hysan ONE, a large store housing various shops and brands, as well as an exhibition site to show shoppers the latest in art and fashion. I.T Hysan ONE is one of several stores under I.T, a Hong Kong fashion conglomerate.

The reception took place on May 13th, and Jessica arrived at the event in a beautiful yellow outfit. Another Year of Success for The Birthday Girl: 'Jessica Jung'

After a highly successful comeback of Girls' Generation earlier this year, April 18th is yet another special date celebrated by a group of people known as "SONEs" every year.
